![]() ![]() I wonder if she actually WOULD murder Greg, I mean she DOES have a gun.īut the most powerful part of the episode is Rose's monologue about half-way through the episode. Vidalia threatens Greg with murder if Sour Cream gets hurt, just another great Vidalia moment right there. After Vidalia's lousy 12-year-old babysitter cancels on her, Greg has to babysit sour cream. You get that, adult fans of Reddit religiously following a kid's show? Nah I'm just kiddin' (besides I'm also exactly in that category). She is actually a pretty dang good person, letting Greg crash there for so many nights and basically feeding him. He is even willing to sit outside on a freezing winter day for hours, waiting for Rose to warp back.Īlso, Vidalia, as always, killed in this episode. He eats from the trash, and doesn't even have a house anymore. We see in the visuals that he has TOTALLY given up his ENTIRE LIFE for Rose. He sings about how he is piss-poor (unlike in the present), and also sings about his love for Rose. ![]() It's certainly better than "Dear Old Dad", but then again, just about any song is. Greg's song in this episode is certainly one of his better songs. Steven insists that Greg start his flashback with a song, because it's sort of become a tradition now. Including this one, which was far from it. Man if he were to make a scorecard of this show, every single episode would be rated Meh. He is so chill and so dead-pan, and all he can say is "Meh". All he does in the entire episode is go "Meh" in his adult voice. Baby Sour Cream in this episode is freaking hilarious. In this flashback, Greg is several years older than he was in Story for Steven, and Vidalia has already started to settle down, and now has Sour Cream. The episode is primarily about Greg babysitting Sour Cream for Vidalia. It's literally only in the last fifteen seconds of the flashback that we actually see him get his job there. The car wash itself plays a VERY small part in this episode. The plot of this episode is that Steven wants to learn how Greg got his job at the car wash, after he finds out that Greg's been working there longer than Steven's been alive. Even though it was a breather however, it was still a great episode. Coming off the last two episodes which were both emotionally heavy and intense, this episode was a nice breather. So how did this one hold up to the first two? And these episodes are almost always guaranteed to be a hit. Greg the Babysitter, the 94th episode of Steven Universe, and the final episode of the second week of the "Steven's Summer Adventures" event. ![]()
